Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Once again, Christmas has come and gone so very quickly. For some, too quickly - and perhaps for others, the hustle and bustle of this season didn't go quickly enough.
For me, I love this time of year and all that it means, so I think it went by way too fast!
As quickly as it passed though, more so than ever before, the Lord magnified something on my heart this year.
What was it?
-The reality that here in the jungles of Ecuador there are SO many people who, sincerely, their only understanding of Christmas is that it is for spending time with family.
In fact, the majority of people you ask, this will be their first response! And what I've realized in the past couple of weeks is that there are numerous people who don't even know that it is for celebrating the birth of Jesus... one step further than that, there are many that don't even realize who Jesus is.
On Monday, our Hope House girls left for Christmas vacation to go home to their villages and celebrate with their families before school begins again next year.
Would you pray with us as this year comes to an end that our precious little girls lives would be like a city set on a hill as they are in their villages? That they would make good decisions while being there and that through them, their families and communities would come to know the real reason why we celebrate Christmas?
Also, this Christmas we are extremely thankful for YOU! Through your prayer and financial partnership, you make it possible for these girls to be poured into day after day with the Hope of Jesus Christ! Because of this and that very prayer that we are praying for the girls while they are at home in their villages, YOU are making an impact FAR greater than just touching the lives of the 59 girls who currently live in the Hope House. So, THANK YOU for your continued faithfulness!
Wishing you the Merriest Christmas & the Happiest New Year!
Blessings,
Rachel Bolin
(PS..... Your family wasn't the only family that got a cute little new puppy for Christmas. Our girls at the Hope House got one too!
Meet Tobito! One of the cutest jungle Christmas pups you'll ever see)
